We didn't invent anything, we simply take our mission at heart. We have no office in town, all our teams live in the villages.

Our association is as much present in France (association under the French Law of Associations 1901, founded in 1994) as in Belgium (association without lucrative goal, founded in 2003 following actions carried out in Belgium as from 2000).
In the beginning, Mekong Plus only had only one small project, Tiên Thành. But little by little the number of project increased, the local team in Vietnam enlarged: it amounts today to more than 180 people and leads 4 significative programs.
In 1994 Gilberte DO-HUU and Robert EBERHARDT visited Vietnam and particularly the work of Bernard KERVYN and his wife Thanh TRUONG. They were friends: they had known each other since they were involved in « Frères des Hommes » (NGO), when Gilberte and Robert were in France, and Bernard in Bangladesh... This reunion of old friends, in the middle of the Vietnamese countryside and of their crying needs, soon led to the will to build something together.
