Transparency!

Our accounts are submitted to an external audit every year: in Vietnam, France and Belgium.

  • They are put online once approved by the General Assembly.
  • Several publications provide full information on how the funds are used, and their impact: quaterly bulletins , yearly reports , evaluation reports ... all are available online. Visits on the programs are encouraged.
  • We believe failures should be exposed and explained: it may be useful to other development organizations.

 

Tax deduction

You pay taxes in Belgium, France, in the US, in Germany... or elsewhere? With donations deducted from your taxes you give actually more than it costs you.

France: donations to Mekong Plus will reduce your taxes up to 66% of the amount of your donation, as long as the reduction is not more than 20% of your taxable income (

Belgium: Any donation of 40 euros or more will prompt us to send you a receipt at the beginning of the following year. If requested we will send a certificate for smaller donations as well. Click here for details.

Other countries: Mekong Plus has partners in several other countries, they are willing to channel donations to us and to deliver you a certificate in their country. We deliver a receipt and letter of thanks in any case.

An Indian proverb says: "What you do not give away is lost forever"

Elizabeth W. Dunn, professor of psychology at the university of British Columbia, with 2 researchers of the Harvard Business School, wanted to check if money make people happy! They published their findings in the very serious review Science on 21st March.
